...and still doing it

Jay Carter some years ago...

Since the introduction to competitive surfing in 1986, Jay Carter's innovative tagteamsurfing concept has been a winner.

Every competition held within the format has generated a phenomenal level of excitement.

The first event, The Bronte Surfshop Knockout, was held at Bronte Beach on Sydney's southside in May 1986 and the last tagteam event Jay organized was at D'Bah (Duranbah) on the Gold Coast, Qld. in 2001.

The tagteamsurfing format brainstormed in 1986 on a roadtrip to Bells Beach, Victoria by Jay and his surfing brother Storm, introduced a unique dimension to competitive surfing that continues into the 21st century.
